A child and his or her non-custodial parent can meet each other in Vantaa's safe and peaceful meeting places. Supervised and supported meetings and supervised exchanges

On-the-spot monitoring

  • In case of a supervised meeting, the meeting between the parent and child will be constantly monitored, which means that an employee shares the premises with the parent and child or is otherwise constantly able to see and hear them.
  • In case of a supported meeting, an employee is available upon request. The employee is responsible for the beginning and ending of the meeting, and will monitor the situation.
  • A supervised exchange can be arranged when there is a restraining order on the parents, or if disputes prevent the parents from meeting one another.

Meeting places will arrange supervised and supported meetings, as well as supervised exchanges, depending on the decisions made. Visits are arranged on Wednesdays at 10-17:45; on even weeks’ Fridays at 14:30-18:30, and on weekends at 10-17:30. There may be changes in the opening hours of the meeting place on public holidays and other times as needed. You must always book a visitation time in advance in accordance with the visiting place’s opening hours and booking situation.
