Vantaa Hospital’s visiting instructions for relatives and friends
Because of the coronavirus situation, Vantaa Hospital has to restrict visits on the hospital wards. The purpose of the restrictions is to ensure the safety of the patients at the hospital. The visiting instructions will be valid from December 4, 2020 to February 28, 2021.
We recommend that relatives and friends primarily meet hospital patients on the hospital's outdoor premises. The recommendation for visitors per patient on the hospital's outdoor premises is 1-3 persons.
Relatives and friends’ visits on Peijas Hospital's acute wards 1 and 2 are entirely banned, with the exception of visits with patients in terminal care. The visits must, however, be kept short; at max. 15 minutes, and the number of relatives/friends per visit may not exceed two persons. Visits must be agreed in advance with the ward in question.
Relatives and friends’ on Katriina Hospital's wards are allowed, but the wish is that they only take place in exceptional circumstances such as visits with relatives in terminal care. The visits must, however, be kept short; at max. 15 minutes, and the number of relatives/friends per visit may not exceed two persons. Visits must be agreed in advance with the ward in question.
We wish that all visitors by their own actions ensure the health of their relatives and of other hospital patients by observing the following instructions:
visiting hours at the hospital at 14:00-18:00
1-3 visitors per patient on the hospital's outdoor premises
duration of visits at the wards is 15 minutes and the number of visitors per patient is 1-2
wash your hands and use hand sanitizer before and after the visit
wear a face mask during the entire visit (this applies to both the patient and the visitor / visitors)
observe a safety distance of 1-2 meters (with the exception of helping a patient to move)
You may not come to visit a patient at the hospital, if you are sick or if you have symptoms of a respiratory tract infection.
